Many events and services of the Association are coordinated and carried out by committees made up of members who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure that we have the best Association possible. Below you will find descriptions of committee duties and links to the committee rosters. The process of forming committees begins in October each year.

Attendance Committee
The Attendance Committee is responsible for calling member firms to increase attendance at the Association Luncheon and to greet members at the door in a professional manner, make sure they sign in, and offer a chance to buy tickets for the door prize drawing.

Bylaws Committee
The Bylaws Committee is responsible for the technical wording of Bylaws changes as required. The Committee is responsible for the proper processing for general membership vote and to insure compliance with the National Association’s Bylaws and Policies.

Education Committee
The Education Committee recommends, develops and if necessary, conducts training and educational programs for Association members. This committee also develops and conducts programs to encourage youth to enter the real estate profession. Additional committee responsibilities include designing, planning, and conducting the Association Orientation program.

Equal Opportunity Committee
The goal of the Equal Opportunity Committee is to ensure that REALTORS® do not deny equal professional services in the availability, representation, advertisements, sale or rental of real property. This committee also provides educational programs to acquaint REALTORS® and to create a positive public position within the community in the fields of civil rights and equal housing opportunity.

Finance & Budget Committee
The Finance & Budget Committee is responsible for the preparation, revision, and audit of the Association’s budget and making its presentation when appropriate. This committee plans for future financial requirements, anticipates future needs, and recommends methods of obtaining needed revenues.

Grievance Committee
The Grievance Committee conducts preliminary investigations and evaluations of ethics complaints and arbitration requests as required to determine whether the validity and substance of the ethics complaint or arbitration request warrants further consideration by a Hearing Panel of the Professional Standards Committee.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee recommends and develops ways to encourage membership in the Local, State, and National Associations. This committee reviews membership applications to insure their conformance with the Association Bylaws. This committee is also responsible for assisting in the continuous development and/or careful consideration of membership policies, which are appropriate, reasonable and non-discriminatory.
